In the warm and intimate ambiance of the Sagamore Pendry, people gathered from around the globe to celebrate the 30th anniversary of Dartrans. A glamorous evening to celebrate the often stressful nature of its work.
According to President Bridget Lowy, being a freight forwarder is best described to the uninitiated as being a travel agent for international freight, facilitating the movement of cargo from one country to another. Whether dealing with Fortune 500 clients, government departments, shipping lines, or truckers, Dartrans has carved out a space for itself as a premier coordinator of international shipping.
On March 15th 1989 Dartrans opened its doors and in turn opened the doors of the world to its clients. In the three decades since then Dartrans has bared witness to the incredible changes the industry has gone through, from making customs entry on typewriters to monitoring shipment status in real time. But one thing that has never changed is the experience and dedication of its staff.
“It has been an incredible journey for all of us here at Dartrans. Our customers and our partners are the reason we are here today and we hope that you will be with us as we continue this journey in to the future.” – David Rice, CEO of Dartrans, Inc.
Dartrans has always been committed to its promise of being a transport architect for globally minded businesses who seek to reach the world. As Dartrans reflects on the progress it has made, it looks forward to adapting and thriving in a rapidly changing industry.
